You will then end your tour with a visit to Wat Phnom Temple , Phnom Penh 's namesake, from where you can enjoy views over the tree-lined avenues of the city during sunset.

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap (L,D,-)
Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to Phnom Penh airport for departure to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, welcome and transfer to hotel.
Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
In the afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing . Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five tower symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean beyond.
Sunset from Phnom Bakheng, one of two hills dominating the plain of Angkor, from where you will have a spectacular view of West Baray and Angkor Wat.
Accommodation at hotel.
Day 3: Siem Reap Departure (L)
Breakfast at hotel.
In the morning, you will continue your temple visits. Included are Prasat Kravan (with its unique brick sculptures), Sra Srang ("The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by four concentric walls), Eastern Mebon (guarded at its corner by stone figures of harnessed elephants, some of which are still in a reasonable state of preservation) and the "Mountain Temple " of Pre Rup.
In the afternoon, transfer to the archaeological site and continue the temple tour. Visit Ta Prohm, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Then visit Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda temples.
Transfer to Siem Reap airport for departure to next destination.

I have used their services the last time I visited Vietnam (specifically Ho Chi Minh City ) and I have also used them again this time around. As usual, Mss. Nhung and her staff have always been courteous, prompt, and very professional in handling all of my travel and booking needs. I simply cannot say enough about how great their services are and I will continue to use them so long as they maintain their current service level. I hope you will enjoy your trip in beautiful and exotic Vietnam. Robert Sarkes Tel: 408-386-7114 rsarkes@yahoo.com .

My trip to Vietnam/Cambodia was amazing. We had a great tour operator in Vietnam/Cambodia. Dean and I were treated like royalty with a private tour for the 2 of us including private guide/driver/car/all entrance fees and meals. We had a whole 8 bedroom boat to ourselves while the other boats were crammed with tourists. We were able to set our own schedule and change it to our liking. I refer this tour company to all of you who are looking for customized private tours. Becky Perry from Canada |

Luxury Travel Vietnam provided a wonderful guide and driver - both named Sophea. Our driver, the "other" Sophea carried cold towels and bottled water that he had ready for us after each stop. He made sure we were comfortable every minute we were in his vehicle. Our guide Sophea was a true joy and an excellent "ambassador" for Cambodia . When we expressed an interest in adding a helicopter ride over Angkor Wat to our plans, he instantly re-arranged our entire itinerary to make it happen. We were delighted to take him with us on the helicopter trip and watch his enjoyment of seeing Angkor from the air. It was our gift to him for taking such good care of us. Thank you again for providing us with a wonderful trip. We will definitely return and would not use any company except Luxury Travel Vietnam. Pamela Solvang San Antonio , Texas USA |
