Discover the National Biosphere Reserve of Can Gio

This is a new and exotic day tour for Saigon’s based travelers. You will discover the National Biosphere Reserve of Can Gio and immerse yourself in its natural beauty and learn about its wild life.
Located 120 km from Ho Chi Minh City, the trip to the reserve takes about 3 hours. You can visit Monkey Island situated in Can Gio Mangrove Forest, which UNESCO has recognized as International Biosphere Reserve on January 21st, 2000. You can also visit Can Gio Museum with archaeological relics, as well as unique flora and fauna. You’ll also explore the Mangrove Forest by boat and visit Rung Sac Guerilla Base by canoe, from which you’ll see crocodiles, wild cats, otters, pythons, playful monkeys and more. And the Purebred Crocodile Reserve Park boasts more than 80 specimens of these prehistoric reptiles.
Pick up is at 7:00 am, when you will set out for the Forest Park (Monkey Island)
Forest Park:
- Visit Can Gio Museum
- Visit Mangrove Forest Park Fauna conservation area, featuring: saltwater crocodiles, wild cats, otters, pythons, deer and more than 1000 wild monkeys, which love to play with people
- If you are visiting on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays, you can visit the Animal Circus which features monkeys, dogs, cats & crocodiles.
- Travel by canoe to visit the Mangrove Forest Ecosystem and Rung Sac Guerilla Base
11:00 AM: Transfer to 30-4 Beach, take a swim & relax before lunch at the beach or local restaurant
13:00 PM: Depart from boat station of Vam Sat Eco-Tourist area
- Take a canoe trip to visit Vam Sat, traveling past the flora typical of mangroves, and then visit bat-reserve
- Crab and crocodile fishing on boat
- Visit the crab ponds to learn about their lifecycle and how to collect the best crabs for eating
- Visit crocodile farms to learn to about the process of crocodile egg laying and visit the new born crocs
- Head to the 26M Tang Bong view the landscape of the Can Gio mangrove forest, walk through forest roads, and then take on the challenge the wire suspension bridge!
16:00PM: Return to Sai Gon
