Three days on the complex maze of the Mekong Delta is hardly enough for some people, but this tour gives you a brief insight into life on the mighty Mekong River and its tributaries. You will be taken along the vast network of canals and tributaries to see how people go about their daily lives. Gliding on the busy waterways we have the opportunity to interact with the local people at the floating markets, eat tropical fruits in lush orchards, look into the art of Bonsai and sip tea on a typical boathouse.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Xeo Quyt - Chau Doc (L/D)

You tour starts with a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of My Tho. Take a boat trip round 4 beautiful islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix , and Tortoise. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people. You will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. Rejoin car to Xeo Quyt Forest, which was an old Vietcong stronghold during the U.S.-Vietnam War. From here you will continue drive to Chau Doc - situated close to the Cambodian borde. Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 2: Chau Doc - Long Xuyen - Can Tho (B/L/D)

In the morning you take a sampan to visit the floating fish farm and the Cham weaving village. Take a drive to visit a bonsai garden before heading up Sam Mountain for a birdseye view over the rice paddy fields toward Cambodia. From Chau Doc you drive to Can Tho with a stop to visit the Bang Lang bird sanctuary, the incense stick village and the crocodile farm. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 3: Floating market - Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)

Before beginning your journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, you will take a boat trip to join in and experience the Phong Dien floating market - one of the busiest market in Mekong Delta. Here each boat usually sells one particular item, whether it be pumpkins, pineapples, sugar cane etc, and in order that the customer knows where to shop, they hang that item from the highest part of the boat. On the way to HCMC you will have one stop to visit the snake market in Vinh Long. End of services.
