Saigon City - Mekong Delta - Cu Chi Tunnels - Dalat - Nha Trang - Saigon.
This trip covers the main points of interest in Southern Vietnam. We start the trip by exploring HCMC. We cruise into the labyrinth of Mekong canals and tributaries. We visit the intricate network of the Cu Chi Tunnels, constructed by the Viet Cong during the U.S.-Vietnam War. Also included are the colonial hill station of Dalat, the pristine sandy beaches and islands of Nha Trang where you can relax and unwind to recharge your battery before making our way back to HCMC.

Day 1: HCMC tour - Cu Chi tunnels (L)
9:00 am hotel pickup. Then, we embark on a city tour with our friendly English Speaking guide. The tour includes a visit to Cholon, Saigon's Chinatown and home to Vietnam's largest market, the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants museum.
This afternoon begins with a 1 hour 45 minute drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. This network of tunnels, which stretched for over 200km, became legendary during the 1960s.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long-Can Tho (B,L)
This morning we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for it's floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of 'Elephant ear fish', before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. Toward the end of the day we arrive at Can Tho city, heart of the Mekong Delta.
Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel we have the morning to explore the floating market Cai Rang. Following thi.s we will rendezvous with our vehicle for the drive to My Tho, where we will visit the Dong Tam snake farm before our return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 4: HCMC- Da Lat (B,L)
This morning we leave Ho Chi Minh City and head for the hills, literally. The scenic 7 hour drive along Highway 20 to Da Lat will be broken up by stops at some of the tea and coffee plantations along the way. We will stop for lunch at the picturesque Dambri falls, about 15km from the highway. Here you may have your photo taken next to an elephant! Arriving at Da Lat by late to mid afternoon, there will be an opportunity to take a short walk in the the City of Eternal Spring. There also will be an opportunity for a short walk to get the feel of this delightful city. This evening we will head out to one of the fine restaurants of Da Lat.
Day 5: Da Lat (B,L)
At 8.30 am, we will leave for a tour of Da Lat and the surrounding areas. We will begin with a visit to the Lam Ty Ni pagoda. We follow this with a trip to the summer palace of Vietnam's last Emperor, Bao Dai. From here we visit the rather bizarre and very aptly named Crazy House. This afternoon, we visit Truc Lam Thien Vien and then take the short train ride on the Cremaillere railway to the village of Tri Mat.
Day 6: Da Lat - Nha Trang (B,L)
Our drive today will take us out of Da Lat and back down the Prenn Pass for a stop at the Chicken village, so-called because of its statue of a chicken, inhabited by the Koho minority people. From here we will head east and down the Ngoan Muc pass to the coastal lowlands. Our destination for today is Nha Trang, the country's premier resort town. This part of the country was once inhabited by an ancient civilization known as the Cham, and our next stop will be at the Po Klong Garai Cham tower. This amazing structure, which has endured the test of time, the elements and indeed war, was built in the 13 th century. We will stop for a late lunch at Cam Ranh Bay and arrive in Nha Trang by mid to late afternoon. Check in hotel and enjoy free time. You may also enjoy the night life that Nha Trang has to offer.
Day 7: Nha Trang free at leisure (B)
Today is a free day at leisure in Nha Trang for relaxing and unwinding at the resort overlooking beautiful Bay. Snorkel or dive among the coral reefs in crystal blue waters, hike nature trails, cool off in your private plunge pool, indulge in spa treatments or just relax on the white sand beach and admire the unspoiled mountain and sea views.
Day 8: Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City (B,L)
This morning we return to Ho Chi Minh City. The drive will take around 8 hours. On the way, we will stop at numerous refreshment and comfort stations. Lunch is scheduled at Phan Thiet. Another interest will be at a farm that grows the colourful Dragon fruit. Our arrival time in Ho Chi Minh City should be late afternoon.
Notes: You can fly from Cam Rang airport, Nha Trang to Danang, HCMC, or Hanoi instead with additional cost: 38 US$, 38 US$ and 90 US$ respectively.
