The Legend Chiang Rai Resort lies along the Mae Kok River, secluded from Chiang Rai Town, yet only a few minutes by car from the city centre. The property has a panoramic view of the near-by hills and mountains. The riverside is rich with large rain trees and lush vegetation. The immediate surroundings are relatively undeveloped, providing a tranquil, natural location ideal for a resort & spa.

Northern Thai culture is rich in architectual design, paintings and pottery. The region's history goes back to the 7th century. All of this has inspired "The Legend."

Design of The Legend

The resort has been designed to suit and fit this unique environment. Emphasis is given to the landscape, which is a combination of small "klongs" and ponds together with trees and and colourful tropical flowers and plants. The landscape compliments the contemporary Thai style buildings and adds to the ambience of the resort.

In the evening, lighting which enhances the natural beauty of the development.

Mae Kok River

The main attraction, however, remains the Mae Kok River. The general view and direction of facilities faces the river bank to take full advantage of this attraction.

Not only the design, but also the service element is unique and unconventional. Emphasis is given to the Legend Spa which becomes a main feature of the resort. The restaurant is located directly on the bank of Mae Kok River. Both Western and Thai Food is served.

Lanna Design

The Legend LandscapeContemporary Lanna design is used combining wood with local bricks and hand-plastered white walls.

Additional facilities include a small seminar and meeting facility that caters to corporate needs. IT access as well as the relevant equipment for business needs is provided. Team building as well as business meetings for corporations and organizations can be accommodated in the informal environment of the resort.

Pool Villa: 2 Bedrooms and private pool

Situated right on the river front with an uninterrupted view of the Kok river, these Pool Villas feature two bedrooms connecting to an extensive outdoor living area, private swimming pool (11 square metres) featuring a relaxing jet massage and a tropical garden with a total living area of 165 square meters (including terrace and pool).

The spacious master bedroom is fitted with king size beds, as well as a sitting area and writing desk. The semi-tropical outdoor bathroom has a double size bathtube featuring a relaxing jet massage. The terrace offers deck chairs and a swing sofa situated next to the swimming pool and garden. The smaller twin bedroom is ideal for children since it includes a connecting door.

Pool Villa: 1 Bedroom

Situated right on the river front with an uninterrupted view of the Kok river, the pool villas feature a bedroom connected to an extensive outdoor living area, private swimming pool (11 square metres with jacuzzi) and a tropical garden with a total living space of 120 square metres (excluding swimming pool).

Separate walk-in closets with a dressing area lead to the bedroom and the semi-tropical outdoor bathroom. The 100-seated Riverside terrace features both western and Thai cuisine. It is an opportunity to enjoy fine cuisine. The design and atmosphere is casual, yet there is a Lanna elegance. A place where one can enjoy fine food prepared by expert chefs right in front of the patrons' eyes. The splendid view of the Kok river is a main highlight of the restaurant. Decoration is discrete and distinctively Lanna with nature becoming a part of the terrace.

Seminar Room

An ideal venue to hold a wedding, family or business function. Furthermore, it is just the right size for a small corporate function or a seminar such as a marketing or budget presentation or team building exercise. State of the art audio visual equipment and internet conncection is available.

The Seminar room is prominently located at the river front, towards the borderline of the property. The decor is in line with the overall design concept of the resort. Hand plastered colums and terra cotta tiled flooring will give a distinct Thai look. The river location provides a unique atmosphere, unparalleled in Chiang Rai as of this day.
