Bangkok Stop Over - 3 days |
Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok
Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in a private air conditioned vehicle for check in and an over overnight stay in Bangkok.
Day 2: Grand Palace and Chao Phraya River (B, L)
You will begin your chic and unique city tour with a visit to bustling Pak Klong Talad Market (which operates around the clock) and then take a short Tuk Tuk ride to Saranrom Royal Garden where you can relax while learning about the varieties of Thai plants. You will then continue to the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple – Wat Phra Kaeo. Before entering the main gate to the temple of the Emerald Buddha, you can stop by the Royal Regalia Museum to see the beauty of its decorative jewelry, which belonged to royal officers and consorts. Here, you will visit the most sacred Buddha statue in Thailand, held by all Thais as their symbol of national independence. You will enjoy the stunning buildings, and you will see something photo worthy every time you turn around.
In the afternoon, you will take a long-tailed boat along the Chao Phraya River and witness the Thai lifestyle firsthand. You will pass the Grand Palace and pay a brief visit to the Royal Barge Museum, which houses ceremonial King's Barges, decorated with multi-color glasses, gilt and stucco. You’ll disembark at Wat Arun (the Temple of Dawn) to visit the tallest prang in Thailand. You will then have a restful overnight stay in Bangkok.
Day 3: Bangkok – Departure (B)
There are no activities planned for today so you will be free to explore at your leisure until transfer to Suvarnabhumi International Airport for your onward flight and the end of what will hopefully be one of many tours for you in Thailand and its neighboring countries.
